- Four are hotel housekeeping jobs, two of them at Whistler resorts.
- Pay runs from $19.50 to $28.40 an hour, at or above British Columbia’s light duty cleaner median of $20.00 in all but one.
- Four say no experience is needed and the employer will train.
- Seven are permanent, full-time jobs; one is seasonal.
- None is in Toronto, Montréal, Calgary or Vancouver, all of which are on the list where low-wage LMIAs are refused.

These employers have also asked for permission to hire a temporary foreign worker, so each card carries the label may accept visa sponsorship. Read the line under it before you apply: every one of these postings says it wants candidates who are already Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or temporary residents with a valid work permit, and adds “Do not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada”.
Why would an employer request an LMIA and still recruit only inside Canada? Often the worker it wants is already here — a former student, or someone whose permit is ending. Sites that republish these postings as “visa sponsorship jobs” drop that sentence, and it is the most common reason applicants abroad send dozens of applications and hear nothing.
Worth watching anyway. These employers have already been through the LMIA process and know how it works. If a card below matches your experience, note the employer and check its next posting — that one may accept applicants abroad.

- Sort by date so the newest postings are first.
- Open each posting and scroll to Who can apply. Keep only those that say “with or without a valid Canadian work permit”.
- Note the Advertised until date and apply well before it.
- Check the location against the refusal list unless the employer is a hospital or care home.
- Repeat every week. New postings appear constantly and the open ones close fast.

Frequently asked questions
Are these cleaning jobs really open to people outside Canada?
On 13 September 2026 each of these eight postings said the employer accepts “other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit”. Open the posting before you apply, because an employer can edit or close it at any time.
What does LMIA requested mean on a Job Bank posting?
The employer has applied, or is applying, for permission to hire a temporary foreign worker for that position. It does not by itself mean the employer will consider someone outside Canada.
Why are none of the Quebec postings open to applicants abroad?
Quebec had 29 LMIA-requested cleaning postings when we checked, more than any other province, but none of them accepted applicants without a Canadian work permit.
Can I apply to the postings marked may accept visa sponsorship?
You can contact the employer, but each of those postings says in its Who can apply section that it wants people already authorized to work in Canada, so expect no reply from abroad. The eight postings in the first list are the ones that invite applications from outside Canada.

Do I need experience for these jobs?
Four of the eight say no experience is needed and the employer will train. Three ask for one to seven months.
